The Benefits of Internet Marketing

By seoart

Internet marketing is exactly what it says, marketing that is done over the internet. Internet marketing and website promotion have many benefits, the principal one being that anything that is published on the internet has the whole world as a potential audience. It is also a relatively cheap way of driving traffic to your website and gaining more sales and boosting your income.

There are several different types of internet marketing that you can use and one of the most popular is by having a lot of content on your website that is SEO rich. SEO stands for search engine optimisation and it is a method of using keywords in your text so that it is highly ranked when someone puts them into a search engine.

Internet marketing and the relevance of SEO

If you have any product or service that you are selling, you need to let people know about it. There is no point in having a website that has no one visiting it, so you need a way to get people there. This is where search engine optimisation (SEO) becomes so useful to you.

When a person decides to search on the internet for anything they will type what they are looking for into a search engine. They will then usually click into a website that is within the first 3 pages of rankings. This is because a person assumes the higher the Google ranking (if that is the search engine they are using), the more relevant to their search the website will be.

A good ranking is usually down to good SEO. You can check that your website has good SEO and keyword density by using SEO tools to measure the percentage of times your keywords occur during the text. A good keyword percentage is 2-3% in order for a search engine to rank your website highly.

The rise of Internet Marketing

Internet marketing is growing daily and more and more people are using the internet as their first source for information. This is something that any business should realise and make the most of by looking at ways to improve their internet marketing.

256m people visited a search engine in December 2006, this represents 81% of global internet users. [Source: Nielsen/NetRatings, March 2007]

In addition to the clever use of SEO, one way links within articles are another great way of increasing your traffic. This is done by submitting articles related to your product or service and having a link that directly sends the reader to your website. If you want to get your business noticed then use internet marketing and see how it can improve your sales.

how a fountain of spit-taught me why adsense templates don't work

By Mugambo

The sign on the door said AAA. This had to be it. I inched the door open and was instantly overcome by a tsunami sound wave of chanting: YES SIR! ADCENT FIXMASTER SIR! YES SIR! ADCENT FIXMASTER SIR!

Whoa! What had I gotten myself into? What was this, some kinda cult?

Alright I'll admit it. I'm an addict--an adsense junkie! But it was counseling I needed not some nutters' army! I tried to ease my way out without being noticed, but too late, the bald dude on the podium noticed me. He beckoned me forward with a flick of his hand. I approached cautiously and started up the steps but he practically shoved me back. I could see why, he couldn't have been an inch over five foot; I'd tower over him if we stood side by side--not the best situation if you're trying to be an effective commanding officer. Commanding officer--huh? I guess the atmosphere was contagious.

"NAME?" he bellowed. "Marc Ting," I replied somewhat timidly. "SAY WHAT?" he barked showering me with a fine mist spray of spittle. "MARC K. TING, SIR!" I shot back. But apparently that was not good enough. He glared at me as his face chameleoned through various shades of red before settling on a beetroot hue. For a second there I thought he was about to smack me. I guess the same thought must have crossed his mind because he abruptly turned his attention to the rest of the troop.

"YOU!" he growled to some skinny pimple-faced kid who had ADDICT written all over, "NAME!"

"OTTO RHEES-PONDAR, ADCENT FIXMASTER SIR!" pimple-face shouted back with rank precision; looked like normal speech was frowned upon in this neck of the woods. The Fixmaster turned back to me. The look on his face left no doubt; I'd better get it right this time round or else. I did! But that didn't stop him from laying into me anyway.

"WE HAVE TWO KINDS OF ADSENSE ADDICTS HERE" he boomed while pacing the podium, "THOSE WHO ONCE MADE A FORTUNE FROM ADSENSE AND THE LOSERS WHO NEVER DID!" He paused to catch his breath which was okay by me; the fine mist spray of spittle had long since turned into a cascading waterfall of spit that somehow seemed to land nowhere else but my forehead. Thus for the first time in my life I was grateful for the grotesquely bushy eyebrows the powers-that-be felt compelled to bestow upon me from the moment I was born.

"Tell me son" the Fixmaster continued, "When did you first start your adsense endeavors?" I wasn't sure what was more disconcerting; the fact that he called me son or the fact that he was talking normally.

"JANUARY 2006 ADCENT FIXMASTER SIR!" I hollered back, as loud as the best of them.

"AS I THOUGHT! WE GOT OURSELVES A GEN-U-WINE ADSENSE LOSER" he spat with obvious contempt and disdain. "I BETCHA TWEAKED, FIDDLED, ADJUSTED AND TRIMMED TILL YOUR FINGERS WERE RAW TO THE BONE, BUT YOU NEVER MADE MORE THAN NICKEL AND CENTS. AIN'T THAT RIGHT LOSER?"

Evidently I no longer qualified as son anymore but I couldn't have cared less. He was right though; I never did make anything more than nickel and dimes from Google Adsense despite faithfully following every instruction from the plethora of expensive adsense courses I had bought. In fact things had gotten so bad, that at one point my girlfriend started getting jealous of the computer. Imagine that--jealous of a computer!

Anyway I suppose it must have been the sum of the past year's adsense frustrations; my girlfriend almost dumping me; not to mention being publicly berated and humiliated by a five-foot tyrant that made my eyes suddenly well up. Apparently the Fixmaster must have noticed because just like that he stopped his tirade. I guess nothing quite kills troop morale as a grown man blubbering for no apparent good reason. From that point onwards the meeting was less boot camp and more group therapy. The Fixmaster confided that he used to make a ton of money from adsense but had committed the cardinal sin of spending it just as fast as he made it! Like so many others he thought the adsense party would never end. But end it did! And when that happened he lost a heck of a lot more than just his adsense mega-revenue. He lost his wife, his kids, his expensive cars, his two houses and his identity. So he decided it was only fitting to lose the adsense guru moniker too and start a new chapter of his life. One of counseling adsense lost souls like those of us gathered at the weekly Adsense Addicts Anonymous meetings, as well as educate newbie marketers of the dangers of exploitative "adsense gurus" who made their adsense money these days by capitalizing on the newbie's lack of knowledge. Here's what he had to say:

1. So-called adsense gurus only sell their eBooks or software after Google has nullified their systems. 2. Adsense gurus did not make their money the way they tell it in their eBooks. 3. Adsense Pre-optimized templates simply cannot work because of the changes that Google made to its adsense algorithm and is continually improving upon. 4. Anybody who bought an adsense eCourse or eBook after October 2005 was doomed to fail no matter if they followed the instructions faithfully and exactly. 5. The common sense kicker: why would adsense gurus let you in on their mega-revenue generating system while it still worked! 6. Adsense gurus these days make their money by selling their bogus adsense products to the unwary. 7. If you look carefully you'll notice almost all adsense revenue screenshots are from 2005 not 2006!

How to Make Money Fast Online

by indam

3 Websites to make money online. 1. Associated Content. 2. Cash Crate. 3. Forum booster.Let's begin with associated content.

Associated content should be the number one stop for those people who frequently ask themselves, how I could make money fast. Associated Content requires you to write content, which in other words for those who aren't familiar with the online language, content means articles. Associated Content requires that you write articles for them, they will pay you anywhere from $3 to $40 for your content. Most of the time however the bids that they place on your content are for much less than $10. However, this is still a great way to make money online if you can type several articles per day. You may be surprised to see how easy it has become to earn a part time income through writing for Associated Content. The next site that we will talk about is Cash Crate. Cash Crate is a site that pays you to take surveys. They may pay anywhere from a dollar to possibly a hundred dollars, just for you to take a survey. Doesn't sound too bad now does it? The reason they pay you to complete surveys is that companies are willing to shell out loads of cash for in-depth information from their consumers to find out exactly what they word on the street is about their product or services. They even have a daily survey on the homepage that is guaranteed to make you some extra income; the guaranteed survey on the homepage pays $0.80. It may not seem like much but do the math, over a 30 day time period. That is almost $30 extra dollars just for taking surveys. Are you still asking yourself that question, how do I make money fast? Well if writing tons of articles and taking surveys doesn't really sound like your cup of tea, there is always the alternative of Forum Booster. Forum Booster is a website that pays you $0.10 for each post you make on a forum. This is great for those of us that would be searching and posting on forums either way, why not get paid for it? If you can post sixty posts in 1 hour, you can make $6, which is not that bad for earning money online. It may not be minimum wage, but you have the advantage of being in the comfort of your own home. You can be in your pajamas sipping coffee while working on posting on these forums. Each post should be a minimum of 12 words, which is not difficult to do at all.Overall there are tons of ways to make money quickly online but these are just the tried and true and the best of the best. Five No-Cost Marketing Tips

By Laura Lake, About.com Are there ways to market your business that will not cost you a fortune? How can you get the word out without driving your company into a financial black hole? Truth is most marketing does take money, but there are some low-cost and no-cost options that you can put into action that will help you to get the word out about your products and service. While these ideas will not cost you a lot of money they will cost you time, so prepare for that. These are fantastic ideas for the company that is just getting started. They also work! Choose two out of the five and move forward on them this week. Once you begin to see that in fact these promotional ideas can bring you business your momentum will build and drive you to pick two more. 1. Network at events. Go to Chamber of Commerce meetings, BNI Group meetings, and other organizational meetings that will be attracting your "ideal" client. Gather business cards. Get as many as you can and then begin to phone and email to follow up. Do this immediately while you are still fresh in their mind. If they cannot use your services, ask them if they know of someone who can and get their contact information. 2. Attend public meetings. At every public meeting, make a commitment to say something that could be useful to those that are attending. This is a great way to not only share you knowledge and help others, but it also puts you in the eye of those who could use your services. 3. Create a "useful" handout. A handout that when given to a recipient they keep because it has value. For example with my business I have one entitled the "Top Ten Marketing Tactics Your Competition Wish They Knew." Make sure that you include your name, phone number, email address, website information and your 30 second commercial that tells the recipient about your business. 4. Create joint-ventures. Find colleagues and business associates whose business compliments yours and do joint promotions. For example I do joint-ventures with a copywriter and graphic designer. Who could you partner with? 5. Write letters to editors of local newspapers and business publications.Make them interesting and newsworthy. You'll be surprised at how often a good letter will get printed. Do not forget to include your contact information and website address. By committing to one of these items on a weekly basis within one month you will see your business gain recognition and business. You can get the word out there without spending hundreds of dollars.

Hypnotic Marketing Genius And How To Think Before You Place Ads

by: Dustin Callahan How do you write ad copy (or even just a simple classified ad) whereby on one piece of paper sits enough sales psychology to fill up a football stadium? The Thinking Behind The Words In fact, what is on that piece of paper, posing as an advertisement, was so much sales psychology that it induced 100's of people to send you money? Or, to be more "professional," to buy whatever it was you were selling. How would that work? I Think For The Reader How do you write in such a way that the people would not only believe what you were saying, but they would believe you to such an extreme level, that they would actually get excited enough to send you their MONEY? How do you do that? What would you say? It's called "Cognitive Intuition" How do you "write" ad copy in such a way that is actually induces absolute strangers, who are mesmerized by the words you write, to buy whatever you are selling? Yes. There is a formula. Now listen up. Because this is important. What follows is a very brief four pages of HOW people are CODED. The Genetic Code Yes, I am saying that we are all CODED genetically the same way. So much so in fact, that once you know the formula of the "genetic code," you will virtually know how to write in such a way that people's reactions to what you will write are PREDICTABLE! What I am saying is that people are predictable. But enough "talk." Let me prove to you what I mean. From my course, "The Cash Flow Recruiting Machine!" All humans are genetically coded the same way. This we know for sure about people: People are drawn to blood and decay faster than they are good news. I Am Negative The headlines in my ads are negative. Show people a negative and they seek to survive the negative by learning about it. People study my ads like they do the six O'clock news. Why? To avoid MORE PAIN possibly tomorrow! "Where's the beef?" That was a negative ad from Wendy's. "Don't leave home without it!" the AMEX TV commercials are totally negative. They show people having a HARD TIME when they lose their luggage and clothes when they travel. But, if you have American Express (solution) you are saved! Have you ever noticed how cars on the highway will come to a stop just to see dead people that have crashed their cars? Perverse for sure. It's also how people are. Isn't it? The first column on the left of each of my ads always gets the reader to nod their heads and say, "this guy Joe is talking about me". I accomplish that by being the reader. When you look at the left column of my full page ads notice how I am identifying with every Networker's worst dreams. Things I KNOW they have felt before. About recruiting in MLM. When you watch the SOPRANOS on HBO (you Do watch that don't you!) have you ever wondered what the "big deal" is and why everyone in America is ga-ga over this "Mafia" TV show? Here's one answer. It has to do with RAPPORT. The appeal is that when you watch the SOPRANOS you are watching yourself. Can People Relate To a Sociopath? We all are like Tony (the lead and also a killer). And the appeal is how "normal" Tony is. He is an "everyman." He is also a murderer. And as people watch it they subconsciously get a thrill by being so much like someone they are so opposite of. In your ads, if the reader can not relate to you or what you are selling they won't trade their money with you. Watch the SOPRANOS to see what I mean. Sundays @ 9. People will do more to avoid pain than they will to gain pleasure. Based on this fact about people I do NOT advertise pleasure. Thus, I do NOT advertise MLM products or highlights any MLM company. Because I know the genetic code of people, I gain their attention by identifying and highlighting their pain. Survival Mechanism Thus, because I write about better SURVIVAL techniques in MLM, readers will STUDY my ad copy before they will read traditional "company" (vanity) advertising. Based on people's preconditioned disposition, (they avoid pain) people have NO CHOICE but to read my ads. Because we are built to avoid pain and discomfort. Any good ad solves a problem and HIGHLIGHTS the anguish and pain the reader is presently experiencing. Read the left column of my "bag ad" again. The left column is all rapport building and about shared anguish. People will avoid humiliation and rejection at almost any cost. I Sell Solutions: My job is easy because I sell SOLUTIONS. The middle column of all of my full page ads shows the SOLUTION to whatever pain I identified on the far left column. Thus, if what I am selling will erase people's predictable. Embarrassment or perceived anguish (ever try enrolling someone for instance?) people tend to give me money in their own attempt to SOLVE THEIR ANGUISH. People buy through emotional impulse before they begin to sort information logically. Marketing Hypnotism It's easier to tap into people's subconscious when they hear your voice but they can not see the face who is speaking. That's is WHY all hypnotist and Doctors ask you to CLOSE your eyes from time to time. Listening to someone's VOICE (just their voice) can by very hypnotic. Which gives the speaker (me) a chance to sell and re-sell and re-sell the person. Lesson: I always list a 24 hour recorded message in my ads: Sensory Acuity I do this to take people who read my ads from VISUAL to AUDIBLE. These voice-mail Tel-a-seminars introduce an alternate way for them to grasp my message and to feel the offer. People hate to be wrong. This is why I use additional links of information in my ad copy. Such as my web-site or a fax-on-demand or my Tel-a-seminars. I do this because I know people. And people can not RESIST the temptation to "challenge" their own belief in what they just read (remember, people HATE to be wrong), so they will go through all of the INFORMATION ports for one reason. TO VALIDATE themselves. Plus, before people send me money from the ads that I place they feel COMPELLED to hear my VOICE and to see how I sound and to see if they have made a WRONG decision. Not only that, but by adding a QUICK LINK (fax-on-demand, voice-mail and web site) system to ANY of your ads, you take the reader into multiple sensory perceptions (sight, sound and touch) regarding your sales message and (USP) your unique selling proposition. Bind someone emotionally and give them ownership and they almost can never give it back. When you hear my Tel-a-seminars (15-30 recorded Tel-a-seminars) I do NOT sell anybody. Instead, I induce OWNERSHIP by teaching and exposing what I know. What this does is give OWNERSHIP to the listener. So when you hear and then you learn parts of my system via the recorded (sales pitch) Tel-a-seminar people THINK to themselves, "I have to buy Dustin's system so I can USE what Dustin just gave (taught) me." Plus, when you GIVE VALUE people will usually feel compelled (law of reciprocity) to buy from you AFTER you give them value and teach them USEABLE information. HOPE this is CHANGING your world, (and how you market!)

Pay Per Click Advertising To Earn Money At Home

by: Clinton Douglas IV An internet affiliate program - like the one offered by Click Booth - makes it easy to earn money at home. For those who work from home online, internet affiliate programs are an ideal solution for making money, at least once they know of the tools that are available to them and know how to use those tools effectively. Pay per click advertising is one of the most effective tools for those looking to earn money online. For the sake of simplicity, let's focus on Google's Adwords program in this article - even though Yahoo! Search Marketing and MSN's AdCenter also deserve a second look. Why focus on Google? Simply put, Google is one of the most popular search engines (if not the most popular search engine) for finding things online; Adwords advertisements come up when people search for information. You've probably seen ads that others have placed through Adwords when you've searched on Google. At the top of the results listings and in a column on the right hand side of the screen are "Sponsored Ads." With pay per click advertising, the ads that are shown are selected based on a bidding system. Businesses - like your internet affiliate home based business - bid on their preferred keywords. If you chose to promote a home security system with Click Booth, for example, you would want to focus on such keywords as "home alarms," "home security system," the specific name of the system or other terms that you believe internet users would use when they were looking for information about those products and services. Then you would focus on developing a budget for how much you could spend each time someone clicked on one of your ads. Those businesses that are willing to make a high bid for a specific keyword as well as those advertisers that have a consistently high click through rate on their ads will find that the ads they've placed are listed in the top positions. A word of caution: know, watch and stick to your budget to be sure that you're making more than you are spending so that your home business turns a profit. If using Adwords to promote your Click Booth affiliate products and services sounds like a good idea to you, the next thing that you'll want to do is to register for an account. When you register, focus on which countries you want your ad to be shown in, what language your ads will be written in, and have a sense of which keywords you'll be using. In other words, if you're promoting a product that's only available in the US, you'll want to limit your ad so that you're not charged if someone from Germany clicks through. Designing the ad that will help you to earn money at home is the thing that may take a bit of work. It's not that Adwords ads are hard to write, it's just that you will only have a 25 character title and two 35 character lines of text with which to catch and hold a person's attention. The final component of your ad, of course, is the link - and you should be careful to make sure that the page the searcher lands on provides all of the information that he or she is looking for. While there is some work involved in generating a pay per click campaign, many find that the business opportunities far outweigh the risks.

Internet Marketing Glossary

by: Scott Lindsay The Internet has facilitated the need for an entirely new glossary that deals with all aspects of an online environment. This includes terms related to online marketing. While this is not a comprehensive list I’d like to take a look at a few terms and try to explain them in lay terms. SEO – These three letters are the abbreviated form of Search Engine Optimization. This term represents strategies to develop a website using proven methods to enhance your placement in search engines. Since most people begin looking for something by consulting a search engine it makes sense to work to impress the search engines in order to gain improved traffic to your website. Blogging – This is a tool that allows business owners and individuals to construct a series of thoughts that can be accessed by web users. The content is generally themed and will also have something to do with your business. Most blogs are located on a social media site, but they can also be placed on your primary business site. Social Media – This is typically used to describe sites that cater to networking objectives of both individuals and businesses. These sites are typically developed to include a variety of tools in one web application. In most cases there may be groups, friends, blogs, photos and applicable links for visitors to peruse. RSS – Another abbreviation that stands for Real Simple Syndication. This tool allows web users to more easily locate valued material and have it downloaded to a specific software application that lets them access the information they want without the need of an intensive web search. PPC – Three more letters that represent Pay Per Click. This is an advertising system that lets you target customers with a very specific interest in the keywords selected by the individual purchasing the ad. These ads show up on sites across the web and can improve your total number of site visitors. Sites that host these ads do so because they receive revenue from every ad ‘click’ generated from their site. Forums – These are essentially mini town hall meetings. Visitors to a forum can voice opinions and read the opinions of others. In many cases individuals can and do use forums to share information about their businesses. This often happens in a location of a member’s ‘control panel’ called the signature line. Autoresponders – This tool can allow a more streamlined approach to post purchase marketing, When a customer completes a transaction online autoresponder software allows an immediate reply alerting them that the transaction has been accepted. Autoresponders can also allow you to send additional marketing information and ezines. Ezines – This is an online version of a magazine. It has many of the same departments you would expect from a magazine and it can be a potent tool in marketing the general ideas and themes of your business. Hopefully this little list of online marketing terms may help you grasp the potential in online business. I also hope it encourages you to look a little deeper into each of these marketing techniques to leverage improved online performance.

by: Tsuyoshi Suzuki The benefit of joining a great support forum for people who are starting out in the internet marketing business is priceless. One thing that people just don't realize when they decide to take their home business online is that there's a lot more to it than meets the eye. You can use features on your website such as visitor polls, online surveys and your website statistics to find out what your customers like more and how they feel about certain aspects of your business to determine how you can improve your product and the way you do business. If you're an internet business owner who designed your business website using HTML programming, otherwise known as hypertext markup language, you may be aware of the importance of meta tags. There are free search engine tools and meta tag generators for website designers and internet business owners wanting to save money while marketing their website.

All You Need To Know About Pay Per Click Advertising

by: Derek Rogers What is Pay Per Click Advertising? It is just as it sounds. You place an advertisement, usually text or graphic, and you pay each time someone clicks that advertisement. Sounds simple enough right? Though simple, it is a very powerful form of advertising that in many cases makes more sense than other methods of advertisement. How does Pay Per Click Advertising work and why is it the best choice for your business? That is a good question, let's have a look. Targeted Audience With Pay Per Click advertising, also known as PPC, you have the ability to target your unique audience. Sure, you have other methods of advertisement that may target a portion of your customer base, but with PPC, you have a more defined method of targeting. You target your specific customer base with solid keywords. These keywords are crucial to your advertisement. If you operate a chocolate business, you might use keywords such as chocolate, chocolate candy, candy, gourmet chocolate, and the list could actually continue to grow. However, what makes PPC so useful is that it incorporates these keywords to make it work for you. Your pay per click advertising will not show up until a user searches for your keyword terms. The next way that PPC works best for businesses is that it works well within your budget. Costs and Budgets The great thing about pay per click advertising is that it is designed to work within any budget. With many sites that promote PPC advertising, you have the ability to define just how much you are willing to pay. However, it is important to note that you will likely be in competition with other businesses, depending on your keyword. The more you pay per click the higher you will be on the search engine results; this is of course dependent upon your competitors and what they bid to pay as well. As your pay per click campaign goes along, you will have the ability to monitor your campaign. If at any time you feel that your specific campaign is not working as well for your business as you had hoped, you can change it, add another, or delete the campaign as you see fit. What makes pay per click advertising so appealing is that you are only charged when someone clicks on your advertisement, hence the name pay per click. With other advertising methods, you are charged when your advertisement is displayed or rotated. With PPC, you pay only when a potential customer clicks on the advertisement to visit your website. This is a great cost efficient method of advertisement. Just Works Better Pay per click advertising just works better because you know, if you have chosen the right keywords, that when someone clicks on your ad to visit your site, that they are doing so because they are truly interested in what you have to offer via their search terms. This means that each and every person that clicks on your advertisement is a targeted potential customer, which means more likelihood for a sale or membership.

How Does Internet Marketing Work?

by: Tsuyoshi Suzuki Introduction Internet marketing is a component of electronic commerce. Internet marketing is by far the fastest growing advertising method for all companies in this day and age. Internet marketing is about people knowing each others interests, values and preferences. Internet marketing is becoming one of the highest return-on-the-investment strategies these days. Engine For the most effective Internet marketing, you'll want to make sure your site is listed in the following search engines and directories:DMOZ. What I can't emphasize enough is that you take the time to find the right search engine submission category, and if your business is regional or local, make sure you submit there instead of the main areas. Also be sure to read the search engine submission guidelines carefully. If after a few months you find that your site is still not listed in the search engines, go through the search engine submission process again. Effective Internet marketing Effective Internet marketing starts with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and is comprised of optimizing the content, specific keywords, and over all design of your web site in order to ensure that your site attains maximum exposure to search engines. Google, Yahoo, MSN, and other major search engines use search engine software known as robots. Once a site is submitted to the search engine, the robots, also often known as search engine crawlers or search engine spiders, analyze the content of a site as well as other search engine criteria such as the accuracy of the website coding (ie: clean coding) to establish content relevance and overall website relevance. Site Internet marketing does not simply mean 'building a website' or 'promoting a website'. Somewhere behind that website is a real organization with real goals. Internet marketing strategy includes all aspects of online advertising products, services, and websites, including search engine marketing, public relations, social media, market research, email marketing, and direct sales. These include e-commerce, where you sell goods directly to consumers or businesses; publishing, where you sell advertising; and lead-based sites, where an organization generates value by getting sales leads from their site. At one time, Internet marketing consisted mostly of having a Web site or placing banner ads on other Web sites. Since most home-based businesses don't have a physical location, a Web site provides an inexpensive means for prospects to get to know what you do or what you sell and can even be a "storefront" for selling goods and services directly. Conclusion Internet marketing is any legal activity intended to bring traffic from a search portal to another Website. Internet marketing is becoming one of the highest return-on-the-investment strategies these days. The decision to use Internet marketing as part of a company's overall marketing strategy is strictly up to the company of course, but as a rule, Internet marketing is becoming an increasingly important part of nearly every company's marketing mix. That's why Internet marketing is all about networking and communication.

7 Killer Ways To Build Traffic For Your Home Business Web Site

By Michael Laleye 1. Trade links with other web sites. They should be related to the subject of your web site. Instead of trading links, you could also trade banner ads, half page ads, classified ads, etc. The best site to trade links with are ussually the ones that rank above you for your websites topic in google. Most web sites have link exchange request pages where you can submit a link and also create a link back to that site. If your link is accepted you can expect to drive some of the traffic from that site to your home business web site. 2. Start an e-zine for your home business web site. When people read each issue they'll be reminded to revisit your website. They'll see your product ad more than just once which will increase your orders. Instead of having somebody click on your web site and leave, you can recycle that visit and continue contact them with your promotions while at the same time giving them something valuable. 3. Trade autoresponder ads with other home business web sites. If both of you send out information with auto-responders just exchange a small classified ad to put at the bottom or top of each other's autoresponder message. 4. Participate on message boards. Post answers to other people's questions, ask questions and post appropriate information. Include your signature file at the end of all your postings with a link to your home business web site. 5. Write articles and submit them to e-zines, web sites and magazines that accept article submissions. Include your business information and web address at the end of the article. This method, of done consistently, over time will have an explosive effect on your traffic and link you to places where people can find your home business web site all over theinternet. 6. Give away an electronic freebie with your ad on it. Allow your visitors to also give the freebie away. This'll increase your ad exposure and attract people to your home business web site at the same time. A free e-book giveaway is a great way to accomplish this. The best freebies answer questions or solves a problem that might visitors have about your home businesses niche. 7. Post your ad on free advertising areas on the internet. You can post it on free classified ad sites, free for all links sites, newsgroups that allow ads, free yellow page directories, etc. Using this method will have interested prospects e-mailing you for more information about your business. It would be a good idea to take this opportunity to have them sign up for your newsletter as well, so that you can continue to reach them and sell to them in the future. Remember, people respond better to advertisments when they view them more than once. How To Boost Traffic To Your Home Business Website

By Michael Laleye Posting messages on online discussion boards is a great way to get free advertising for your home business. When you post a message include your signature file at the end. Your signature file should be no more than 5 to 6 lines. Include an attention-getting sentence why they should visit your web site or e-mail your auto responder. Creating A Signature Line A signature line is a few sentences inserted with every post you make. It is another form of online business card. Most online discussion boards will let you set up a signature of about six lines. Some will allow full messages. Include your URL, a short description, phone number, address, whatever may be relevant. If html formatting is allowed you may want to add a clickable link to your site with the anchor text containing your sites main subject, coupled within a phrase that gets people clicking. Some online discussion boards allow you to leave text and graphic links at the end of your messages. You will get a better click-through rate with links than just a normal signature file. Below are three types of messages you could post to onlinediscussion boards: 1. Informative Comments Post information that would be informative to the people who participate on the discussion board. It could be an article or a study you've completed. Here s where your personal experiences could come in handy. Making real connections and sharing experiences is a great way to earn trust, so that when somebody reading your post clicks through to your signature link trust won't be an issue and they are more receptive to your message. 2. Ask Questions Post a question on the discussion board you would like answered. This will give you a chance to meet other experts and it could lead to a profitable joint venture. 3. Answer Questions Post the answer to another person's question on the discussion board. When you answer questions you will get known as an expert on the subject. Before posting to any online discussion board read the FAQ or rules first. They will tell you what kinds of posts are allowed. Read the board for a few days before posting your message to see what type of messages are being posted. Never post messages on a board that are unrelated to the subject because that could get you banned. Remember also that the habit of posting on message boards can become addictive. The best thing to do is to pick a time during the day that you schedule for this type of advertising. Also choose and how long you want to spend on the message boards, and stick it. Use of this method overtime can produce tons of backlinks to your home business website, resulting in more traffic and more sales.

Internet Marketing And A Future Financial Focus

by: Scott Lindsay One of the prime motivations for Internet marketing is that you don’t want to be in the same place you are right now - in 12 months. In every business the predominant idea is to set goals that help you conduct business smarter, learn lessons faster and bring more business to your site. The problem is many entrepreneurs tend to stay focused on their bottom line and to product fulfillment issues. By doing so they may indeed find themselves in the same place 12 months from now. They may also find their business has declined in total sales revenue. How is that possible? This is an interesting question especially when, from all appearances, the business owner IS paying attention to their business and that the sales are brisk. It can also seem baffling when it appears that the business owner is busier than they have ever been. The problem may be that some of the details of business should be delegated to other employees, especially if the business is of significant size. The sad truth is some business owners are spending too much time in the mailroom and not enough time in long-term strategic planning. Online business grows as new ideas are developed and implemented. It is not unlike an architect spending all his or her time developing the entryway of a new luxury hotel while failing to draw up plans for the rest of the building. It looks nice from the outside, but the inside is in disarray. What this means, in the broadest terms, is that you need to pay attention to all aspects of your online business. If you don’t feel adequate to manage certain aspects of the business then find someone who can. When you neglect certain aspects of your business you will almost always run the risk of a loss of long-term business. You will also be subjected to feast or famine cycles where you may have more work than you can handle for a period of time and not enough work for an equal or greater length of time. It’s a given that you find your business to be an important part of your life. You have invested a lot in the success of your business and that investment is too great to simply allow glaring marketing omissions to go unchallenged. Sometimes business owners adopt an out of sight - out of mind mentality. They avoid those things that are not on their immediate radar. They push back all those things that are not fires to attend only the tyranny of the urgent. Internet marketing is one of the very first things to be cast from view for many businesses. The reason this is true is because the role of marketing seems to have little intrinsic value for those online shops that are currently doing a brisk business. It appears to be a sign that they did everything right and can move on to the role of bean counter. Learn the art of balancing your business interests and include marketing as a prime component for achieving future goals.

Making Money Online With No Start Up Cash - Is It Just A Myth

By David Glen Type in make money online in any search engine and you will literally see millions of search results. Many of these web sites claim that you can start a home based internet business with no start up capital required. If you do have a computer and access to the internet the truth is you can start an online business with no start up cash. However it will take a significant amount of time before you see any real results. This is because the most commonly promoted work from home business idea is affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is where you send traffic to a specific web site and are paid a commission if the traffic you send purchases a product or performs a certain action such as signing up for a list or trial. The traffic you send is tracked by what is known as an affiliate link. In theory this sounds simple and is often referred to as ?automated money making?. Starting and affiliate marketing business requires you to firstly find a product or service to promote online. It is possible to find products and web sites to promote through online affiliate retailers such as Clickbank and Commission Junction. Once you have found a product to promote you need to find ways of sending traffic to these sites to generate sales commissions. It?s possible to generate traffic in a number of ways: - Pay per click advertising (This costs money) - Email Marketing (This costs money) - Article Marketing (This is free) - Forum Marketing (This is free) As you can see above there are two ?no start up cash? methods of making money online. Article marketing involves the process of writing an article about a particular web site or product with affiliate links and submitting to a number of different article directories. Forum marketing is simply chatting in forums and referring people to different web sites through your own affiliate link. Both article and forum marketing are great ways to start making money online with no start up cash, but the reality is the majority of income made through affiliate marketing is through pay per click advertising and email marketing as these methods generate far more reliable traffic. In conclusion it is possible to make money online with no start up cash, however you must be aware that article marketing and forum marketing both take time and will not always guarantee you long-term success. Top 5 Reasons to Start Blogging for Your Business Now ?and Why You Shouldn?t Wait

By Patsi Krakoff Unless you?ve just come online and are new to the way business is done on the Internet, you know how important blogs are? or do you? Here are five reasons you should start a blog for your business now ? or maybe a reminder of why it's important for you to take your business blog seriously. 1. A business blog is a sure-fire way to get found by people searching for your product or service. Search engines index blogs more frequently than static websites. 2. A blog shows your personality, your expertise, and your character; people will hire or buy from you when they feel they trust and like you. 3. A blog showcases your business in a way a website cannot, and is a fast way to get noticed by other people in your field, leading to joint ventures and affiliations. 4. A blog expands your global reach, pulling in qualified prospects you would never have reached before. 5. A blog allows you to interact with readers, get feedback, introduce them to your ideas, and builds relationships, creating customer evangelists who will spread the word about you. In spite of these great marketing advantages that can result when publishing a blog, many business owners and entrepreneurs hesitate and procrastinate. Why? Here are some common reasons: - I won?t know what to write about - I don?t want to share my personal life - I don?t have time to learn another web application - My children use blogs; my colleagues don?t - Why would anyone want to read about my business? - I?m not sure it will bring a sufficient return on investment Many are mislead into thinking a blog is primarily a personal online diary, or for political rants, or for young adults and kids. What we're advocating is a Business Blog: one used for creating relationships with prospects, showcasing your expertise, and making it easy for customers and clients to find you and your business. When used by savvy professionals a business blog increases the likelihood of getting found on the Internet, and helps create credibility and trust like no other online tool. Blogs are easy to learn, do not require tech skills, and cost only a few dollars a month. Most professionals can learn to set one up in a couple of hours. Writing and finding material to write about requires 20-40 minutes a day. Or, you can hire a professional to set a blog up for you and train you how to use it effectively for your business. Then you spend your time and energy writing short posts, or articles. World-wide, there are over a billion people using the Internet and that number is growing rapidly. In the US, blog readers are more educated and spend more money online than do non-blog readers. Does it makes sense to have a blog for your business? We may be biased, but based on our experience, blogs are a terrific tool to help you attract, engage, and inform an audience that wants what you've got. It's time to get started now.

Starting An Internet Business In As Little As Within Hours With These 9 Proven Secrets

by: Aaron Herman With the right guidance, an Internet business can start generating income almost immediately. A home internet business can be very successful for people who have the dedication, skills and patience to await agradual increase in business and income. There are several ways how an internet business can be started. However, no matter which internet business is being initiated, it won't make an impact at first. The start up costs for an internet home business are next to nothing compared to the offline world of business start ups. In fact it is a lot more simple to start and grow a business on the internet. Of course you need some knowledge to begin your internet home business enterprise. But you don't need a "Bacc" to do business on the web. All you need is some computer knowledge and some internet marketing basis and a good dose of determination. Here is some basic tips on how to start an internet home business. == 1.Write Your Business Goals == It is important to set goals and objectives and then take action to accomplish them. This will be your Business Plan. Here Are Some questions you should ask yourself: - Why do I want to start up an Internet Home Business? - What product or service can I provide? - Do I have the knowledge and expertise to provide this service? - Do I know enough about the competition? - Where will my customers come from? Take the time to write down your questions and answers and thoroughly research your chosen market. == 2. Choose A Product or Service To Sell == On the internet you can find hundreds of product or services to sell. You can sell your own product by creating your own, or purchasing resale rights or being an affiliate with a good internet company. Don't put your personal gains first. Make sure that the product will deliver what it promises. When you promote a product that leaves the buyer dissatisfied, you' ll only be ruining your business. So sell solutions and the money will come. == 3. Business Domain Name == One important first step is to choose the best domain name you can. Keep it as short and simple as possible. Think of domain name like " Google " or " Yahoo ". They are short and easy to remember. I know that some people say to use keyword in you're domain name. But if you choose " Internet Business " there is million of site with this term. So are you going to use for example "AprofitableInternethomebusiness.com" it might be a nice name but it is too long and not simple. == 4. Your Business Web Site == Having A good business website is essential to succeed with an internet home business. Here is the thing you have to plan to build your website A) Decide on the website design (color schemes, buttons, special effects etc). However, you may have a preference for a certain color or look. To help you choose a design, you may wish to check out other people's websites or work with your web designer's pre-set templates. (b) The content. There are many items you may wish to include on your website. The most common ones include: 1 Products And Services 2. Contact Information 3. Pricing 4. Testimonials 5. Frequently Asked Questions 6. Resources & Articles 7. Refund Policy 8. Privacy Policy 9. About Us 10. Site Map 11. Useful Links 12. On-line store == 5. Choose a Web Hosting Company == What is a Web hosting Company? A Web host is a company that provides server space for your website. You can think of a web host as a commercial building. The web host provides space for your website just as a commercial building provides space for your shop or office. What are some of the things you should look for when choosing a web host? The criteria for choosing a free web host and a commercial web hosting solution are slightly different although they do overlap. A) Web Space Does it have enough space for your needs? If you envisage that you will expand your site eventually, you might want to cater for future expansion. Most sites use less than 5MB of web space. Indeed, at one time, one of my other web sites, thefreecountry.com, used less than 5MB of space although it had about 150 pages on the site. Your needs will vary, depending on how many pictures your pages use, whether you need sound files, video clips, etc. B) Bandwidth allotment Nowadays, many free web hosts impose a limit on the amount of traffic your website can use per day and per month. This means that if the pages (and graphic images) on your site is loaded by visitors beyond a certain number of times per day (or per month), the web host will disable your web site (or perhaps send you a bill). It is difficult to recommend a specific minimum amount of bandwidth, since it depends on how you design your site, your target audience, and the number of visitors you're able to attract to your site. In general, 100MB traffic per month is too little for anything other than your personal home page and 1-3GB traffic per month is usually adequate for a simple site just starting out. Your mileage, however, will vary. C) Reliability and speed of access This is extremely important. A site that is frequently down will lose a lot of visitors. If someone finds your site on the search engine, and he tries to access it but find that it is down, he'll simply go down the list to find another site. Slow access is also very frustrating for visitors (and for you too, when you upload your site). How do you know if a host is reliable or fast? If you can't get feedback from anyone, one way is to try it out yourself over a period of time, both during peak as well as non-peak hours. After all, it is free, so you can always experiment with it. == 6. Shopping Cart == No e-commerce website is complete without a secure shopping cart. There are many shopping cart options. Many e-commerce business owners make the mistake of using Pay Pal to accept payments, which immediately tells visitors that their company is very small and not professional. A good alternative to Pay Pal is a remotely hosted shopping cart. Remote shopping carts take the burden of maintaining security and credit card numbers off your shoulder and places the responsibility on another company. Remote shopping carts can usually be configured to look similar to your website. In fact, your customers may not realize that they have left your website to place an order. The remote shopping cart provider will give you the HTML to add to your website. When your potential customer clicks on the Buy Now button, he or she is taken to the remote shopping cart to enter the personal information and payment details. Depending on your choice of a shopping cart, you may or may not need a merchant account to process transactions. Some shopping cart services allow you to use their merchant accounts for a slightly higher fee. == 7. How To Promote Your Business Website == Write An Article: Write an article promoting your site or product. Write an article on a hot topic many people would like more information on and submit it to various e-zines. How do you find out what's hot? Visit a few of the message boards and see what questions are raised often. Search Engines: Thousands of search engines exist on the Internet. But, you should only be concerned with the top eight or ten. You should manually submit to the top eight: Alta Vista, Excite, Yahoo, Hotbot, Lycos, Northern Light, Infoseek, Webcrawler, and use one of the FREE automatic submission services like *SubmitPlus* to handle the smaller search engines. Directories: List your site here too. Directories organize sites into categories. Good examples of Directories: Yahoo, Magellan. Ezine Listings: If you have an e-zine to promote along with your site. Why not list it with one of the many e-zine services on the Internet. E-zine Library is a good one to start with. Free Classifieds: You will have to submit to a ton of FREE classifieds to get any significant traffic. Why? You are competing with thousands of other Ads. Remember to work on your Ad copy and make it attention grabbing. Go to one of the popular search engines, type in Free Classifieds, and surf to the top 20 classified sites for beginners. Often, these sites will lead you to several other Free Classified Sites. In response you'll get a stack of e-mail thanking you for listing your site while barking their promo. Best to get one of those free email accounts. Hot mail is a good one. So is Yahoo mail. FFA Pages. Free For All's are worth a try. Be prepared for a avalanche of e-mails from FFA web site owners. If your title is attention grabbing you will get a few clicks. Good Attention grabbing headlines, FREE, Limited Time, Limited Offer, Proven, Secrets, and many more if you brainstorm. Check out the sales literature delivered to you by regular mail. Check and see what headlines grab your attention. And why? Incorporate them into your Online Ads. Tell Friends And Family: If your friends, family, acquaintances, have an Internet Connection, e-mail them telling them about your new website, and ask them to visit often. Offer a FREE incentive if they tell a few friends to surf over. Perhaps, a FREE Ad in your e-zine. Leave Business Cards or Flyers: Leave these promo pieces with small businesses in your community. All relevant contact information; email address, URL, telephone number, should be included. Offer a freebie to anyone who visits your site. A free e-book, report. == 8. TRACK YOUR MARKETING == Here are some questions to consider: 1) How many unique visitors come to your website? 2) How many visitors opt-in to your mailing list or order your products? 3) When you send emails, how many are opened and how many people actually click through to your website? The reason these question are so important is because if you don't know these stats, you won't know what to improve. It could be different things; like your headlines, the content or navigation on your website. You won't know until you start checking all your marketing offer. == 9. YOUR BUSINESS IN CONCLUSION == Think of your first six months primarily as a training period. Don't expect large earnings until after you've educated yourself. Even the most dynamic, highest-earning entrepreneurs in the industry took MONTHS to begin seeing an income of any real significance with their internet home business. Don't be a negative thinker and don't let the negative attitudes of others (even if they're family members, friends, or peers) influence you. All the great men and women in history had to overcome the naysayers who said it couldn't be done and then went out and did it. Think for yourself! As long as you think positive and focused on your internet home business target you re on the right way to a rich life, which is directed by you and it will lead you to tremendous success and personnal satisfaction. Building an Internet business can be very rewarding when you start making money online out of the comforts of your own home. If you've always wanted to be self-employed and be your own boss. Then having an internet business will open this up for you. You just need to work on it

Secret Search Engine Optimization Strategies: How to Turn Keywords into Conversions

by: Derek Gehl Are you focusing your search engine optimization efforts on getting tons of traffic from the search engines? If you answered yes, then I am about to tell you something completely different from other Internet Marketers. Forget about getting tons of traffic from the search engines. Get LESS traffic that converts MORE! The Secret to Turning Keywords into Conversions is to Keep Your Keywords Focused For example, if your site sells an all-natural remedy for acid stomach problems... You start to do your keyword research and you discover that the keyword phrase "natural remedies" has 288 daily searches. But it has over 2,000,000 sites competing for it. While the phrase, "acid reflux natural remedies" has 67 daily searches with just over 11,000 competing sites. Do you want to spend all your time and effort trying to optimize your website for the first keyword phrase? You may get more searches, but you'll never know how many of those searchers want to buy your stomach acid remedy. Not to mention the HUGE number of competitors the keyword has! Or would you go for the second term, which only has 67 people searching for it -- knowing those 67 people are looking for EXACTLY what you offer? And, it has a MUCH lower competition number to boot! Obviously, the second term is better! Sure, you might get less traffic -- but the visitors you DO get will be MUCH more likely to buy your product. Why You Will Make More Money with Less Traffic That Converts More People search the Internet to find a solution to a problem and not necessarily to buy something. So what problems will they solve by coming to your website? Think of a keyword as a "problem statement" that someone would type into the search engines. When you can match your keywords to the exact problems they're trying to solve. You'll attract the BEST visitors to your site so you can focus all your optimization efforts on them! Here are some more keyword research tips that will help you turn keywords into conversions… Top Search Engine Optimization Tips for Finding Highly Focused Keywords That Will Bring the Absolute Best Buyers to Your Website: Check your server logs. See what keyword phrases people are actually using to find your site. If there's something relevant that you've overlooked, build a page focused on that keyword phrase. Also look for keywords that are causing people to leave right away because they're not finding what they're looking for. Ditch those keywords immediately. Look for "intention." Say you sell cross-country ski equipment. People can come to your website looking for different things.
